Rallye Motor Company Celebrates 64 Years With Unprecedented Historical Success
In 2021, all four Rallye dealerships achieved their highest levels of brand recognition:
Roslyn, NY (MAY 11, 2022) – There was a perfect symmetry 64 years ago when Rallye Motor Company opened its doors. It was the same year, 1958, when the first Nassau County expressway section opened from the Queens border to Glen Cove Road in East Hills, a road that continues to transport customers to Rallye showrooms today.
On May 11, Rallye’s 450+ employees will celebrate the company’s 64th anniversary with an extra flourish after learning that all four dealerships reached the highest levels of industry recognition in 2021 by their respective franchisers for the first time in the company’s history: Rallye Acura in Roslyn, earning the Precision Team; Rallye BMW in Westbury, the Center of Excellence; Rallye Lexus in Glen Cove, the Elite of Lexus; and Rallye Motors in Roslyn, the Best of the Best. The elite honors, presented to a select number of dealerships across the country, were earned for best-in-class achievements in sales, service, employee retention, and customer service results.
“These awards truly reflect the efforts of Rallye’s amazing, extremely hardworking team and the extraordinary support of our customers and all of Long Island,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Juliana Curran Terian. “To accomplish this in a year with Covid-19 challenges, supply-chain disruptions and financial uncertainties, is especially commendable.
“For a family-owned business to achieve this level of success after so many decades, is a true testament to our incredible team,” she added.
“We congratulate Mrs. Terian and the Rallye Motor Company team for the extraordinary recognition they have received for the more than six decades they have served their customers, and for the incredible support for their community service,” said Mark Schienberg, president of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. “Rallye Motor Company is an example, at the highest level, of the importance local franchise dealers play in supporting jobs, the local tax base, and by being involved in community activities and needs,” he added.
Mrs. Terian was one of a select group of 41 dealers across the country who were nominated in 2021 for the TIME Dealer of the Year award for automotive success and for demonstrating a long-standing commitment to community service. She is proud of Rallye’s hard-earned reputation as a supportive partner in the Nassau County community helping a host of non-profits including the Maurer Foundation that focuses on breast health education; the North Shore Animal League America; North Shore Autism Circle; Long Island Cares, and the Nassau County Museum of Art, to name a few.
A true highlight of the company’s giving is the annual holiday party for dozens of disadvantaged children Rallye has hosted in its showroom for more than 25 years, all conceived, organized and produced by Rallye employees. Children receive a gift from their dream wish list, such as a bike, video game console, skateboard, or the season’s must-have toy, along with food, entertainment and special guests.
“We start planning just after summer; it really is a company-wide event and seems to get bigger – and better – every year,” said Mrs. Terian.
Mr. and Mrs. Terian shared a vision for Rallye and worked closely to maintain and grow the company that Mr. Terian founded in 1958. Mrs. Terian continued nurturing that vision after Mr. Terian passed away from cancer in 2002, with the design and construction of a new 92,000-square-foot, six-acre dealership in Westbury for Rallye BMW that opened in 2007 and was lauded for its green, sustainable structure “that beautifully complements the surrounding landscape,” she noted.
More recently, in 2018 Rallye Acura completed a major renovation of its dealership in Roslyn and finished the manufacturer required Autohaus II Upgrade to its premier Mercedes Benz location in Roslyn. And later this year the company will break ground on a 5-acre facility in Westbury on Jericho Turnpike, the eventual new home of Rallye Lexus.
“Our core values have not changed since we opened our doors,” said Mrs. Terian. “We value teamwork, expertise and strive to be an employer of choice in Nassau County.”
